subaru sti : On the weekend I was driving with the old man down Warrigal Road inMelbourne when I see parked out the front of Zega (place that importsall type of go fast cars from Japan) a Subaru STi coupe. I thought Iwas seeing things, so we did a U-turn and went back and sure enoughthere it was, a Prodrive blue STi WRX coupe with the gold wheels. I'mnot sure if it was a version 3 or 4. Anyway the old man goes inside totalk to the dealer and he goes $65,000 on the road. Apparently the carhad been complianced but the dealer didn't tell us how he got itcomplianced. The old man thought $65,000 was too much seeing as Subaruare bringing the Version 5 STi and selling them for around $60,000, andthis will include a warranty, so we left.Does anyone know how the dealer could have got the car complianced?I'd like to know that too ... probably some bodgy "rally"registration that could get you yanked off the road so quickyour nose'd bleed ...Probably a personal import which does not need a low volume compliance.
