The current Vigor is the top line model in the Accordfamily, it features a longitudianl 5-cylinder. Eliot is correct instating that there are both 4 and 5-cylinder variants in Japan.That brings Honda's mid-range domestic lineup to 6 models???4-cyl SWB Accord,Inspire and Vigor and 5-cyl LWB Accord, Inspire andVigor.

Is this true I have beenputting normal unleaded in and have not seen a difference. Will regularunleaded damage my car.2) My car has 5 cylinders?? Why did Acura design it this why? Seemsstrange3) Are my breaks discs in front and drums in back? Or are they 4 wheeldisc breaks?4) Is changing the oil pretty easy. Above 100 you wantat least a 40 weight...general rules)The new VW Passat will be getting a new 5 cylinder engine, VR5. 4 disc brakes. 2 ventilated discs at the front and 2 solids at the back.I'd say it is easy. You'll need car ramps or axel stands and an oil filter wrench. Vigor 2.5 SOHC, 20 valve, 5 cylinder, 176hp, 170lb-ftLegend 3.2 SOHC, 24 vavle, V6, 200hp, 210lb-ftThey didn't discontinue the Vigor. It been redesigned as the 3.2 and 2.5 TL.Acura is a Honda, so yes it as reliable and probably more reliable since they are made it Japan. Note: Acura does not exist in Japan, the Acura cars here is NA are badged as Honda cars back in Japan.
acura vigor : 5W-30 is better than 10W-30 in colder climates, as it flows better. If you live in the Sunbelt and don't experience any freezing weather, then 10W-30 is OK, but I'd recommend going with 5W-50 syntheics.Didn't you do any research before you bought the car?? To answer your question, there isn't anything special about the Vigor which is probably why it didn't sell to well compared to the Legend or Intergas. It's a competent, mid luxury sedan.Thank you all for your responses. Yes I know it sounds as if I did not domuch research before purchasing this vehicle. My best friend works at acar dealership and I have been purchasing cars from him for my wife and Ifor the last Seven years. He could a good price on the Vigor and themiles were low so I took it. I assumed being made by Honda and with theluxury it has I could not go wrong. However I did not do a lot ofresearch which you are right makes me look the fool.We put 70K miles on a '93 Vigor LS 5 speed. The car workedflawlessly except that we had to replace the tires at 36K miles.The Michelins that the dealer put in (new OEM) did not have the crisp turn in of the original Bridgestones, but they didride better and are longer lasting.
